The skull is a symbol of nature’s richness, and through his sculpture, William Rosewood conveys it’s mortality. This series titled The Richness of Nature We Destroy includes the skulls of five threatened animals. By covering each in 24 carat gold leaf, the artist strengthens their value, both literally and figuratively. Rosewood hopes his series will serve as a reminder that nature cannot be underestimated.
